Default FSA investigate packaged bank accounts

The FSA are concerned that some packaged bank accounts, where fees are charged for extra benefits, (i.e. mobile insurance cover, etc) may be being mis-sold. Some of the packaged bank accounts may offer insurances that may be more expensive than when purchased separately or have inadequate cover. Some consumers would be far better off purchasing the insurance cover that they require separately, if they indeed require it at all. The warning is highlighted within the FSA’s Financial Risk Outlook for 2010:
